
Several scams against the elderly in Gustavsberg - lost valuable items.
Under Thursday afternoon and evening, several elderly people in Gustavsberg have lost valuable items and cash. At the times of the incidents, the perpetrators first called the victims and claimed to be from an insurance company, and then came home and collected gold, jewelry, silver or cash.
The police had several police officers on the scene on Thursday evening. No one has yet been arrested for the crimes.
Talk to your relatives. The police urge everyone to report if they are victims of a crime.
- Put the phone down. If someone calls you and you become unsure, you should end the call.
- Do not log in. Never identify yourself with bank-id and never give out codes from your bank account or credit card if someone asks for it.
- Do not trust the caller. Be critical when you are contacted by unknown people, do not hesitate to close the door or hang up the phone if you feel uneasy.
- Do not let unknown people into your home before you have checked that the people are who they claim to be.
