Alarm is received about a fire in a multi-family house in the central parts of Gävle. Police, fire department and ambulance are alerted to the location where it is burning in an apartment.

A person, the apartment owner, is transported by ambulance to hospital for examination. Residents in the surrounding area gather in an adjacent room during the time the extinguishing work is ongoing.

There are currently no reports that anyone else needed to seek medical care.

Police patrol sets up a report of gross negligence to further be able to investigate the incident.
