Around 7 pm on Sunday evening, the police receive information that several people have been seen running around with objects resembling weapons and some form of bludgeon in Nyfors. They are then said to have seen these people jump on and assault another person in the area. After the incident, one or more of the perpetrators are believed to have fled the scene in a car. A police patrol that was called to the area sees a man trying to run away from them. His colleagues manage to catch up to him and he is apprehended on the spot. During the work in the area, they also come across a loaded firearm that is found outdoors. The apprehended man, who is in his early twenties, is suspected of aggravated weapons crime, grievous assault, and aggravated threats. He has now been detained by the prosecutor.
