August 27, 16.44, Assault, Severe, Nässjö

We were alerted by multiple callers at 17.30 that a fight had broken out between several people at Stora torget in central Nässjö. Approximately five people were involved. The people involved have reportedly been fighting and using various objects.

An ambulance was on the scene and checked the people involved, with several people being taken to the hospital for further care. No one is reported to have been seriously injured.
Police are on the scene to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fight.

Update 20.50: Police are still on the scene. During the evening, police have carried out several investigative measures, including inventorying camera footage and checking vehicles and people who may have information to provide to the police. 

The incident is being investigated as aggravated assault.

Update 28/8 08:33: A man in his 40s has been arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault. The case is being led by a prosecutor.
