During the morning, the police were contacted regarding a man who was hit by buckshot in connection with hunting in Vilhelmina municipality.

The police's on-duty commander made a decision about mountain rescue according to the LSO, the Act on Protection against Accidents, to assist the man.

At 12:16, however, it was reported that a helicopter ambulance had been able to pick up the man to take him to medical care. He was awake and able to speak.

The police will investigate the cause of the incident, among other things, by holding interrogations around the event.
