A large number of police patrols have worked crime-preventing and safety-creating in Uppsala throughout the day and evening in connection with Walpurgis celebrations and the large number of visitors. At 23.00, the police were able to establish that the celebrations had gone relatively quietly with few disturbances to public order.

A few cases of assault/fights have been reported and 45 people had been taken into custody by 23.00 according to the LOB, the law on the apprehension of intoxicated persons.
