Police receive calls from the public who claim to have heard loud bangs that remind them of gunfire near Vaksala Square in central Uppsala.

A number of people are found with injuries that suggest gunfire. Police cannot currently provide any further information on the extent of the injuries.

Police have cordoned off a larger area and a number of investigation measures are underway at the scene.
