Under Tuesday, the police have noticed a suspected drug offense in central Umeå. The suspect is a 45-year-old man. The guardian of the witness, a minor person, was contacted.

What is drug trafficking and what does the law say? If someone illegally offers, buys out, or sells drugs (such as alcohol) it is called drug trafficking. It is illegal to sell, buy out, or give away strong beer, wine, and spirits to people under 20 years of age. Folköl may not be sold to youth under 18 years of age. You must be 18 years old to buy alcohol at a restaurant. The punishment for drug trafficking is fines or imprisonment for up to two years, for serious crimes up to four years.
