Elderly woman targeted by fraud.

A 90-year-old woman reported on Tuesday that she had been a victim of a scam. Late on Monday evening, two people are said to have come home to her in Finspång and claimed to be from "Waterworks". They gained entry to the apartment under the pretext that they were going to "help", and then managed to trick her out of gold jewelry of unknown value.
Police have been on the scene for forensic purposes, but at present, there is no suspected perpetrator.
This approach is unfortunately common. The scammers claim to come from a government agency or similar, then try to scare the victim in order to gain access to the apartment. Once inside, they trick the victim out of valuable items, or one of them searches the apartment while the other keeps the victim occupied. For the victim, this often becomes a difficult trauma, and often it is valuable items of significant worth and high emotional value that disappear.
Police have clear warnings to avoid being scammed:
-    Never let unknown people into your home.
-    If you are called by someone who claims to be from the police or another institution and announces a home visit to "help" or take care of valuable items – always call the police on 112.
-    Do you have elderly relatives or friends – talk to them about this!

NOTE: Correct location now. Earlier location was incorrect.
