A single-car accident has occurred on National Road 41 outside Derome. A driver has driven off the road and ended up in an adjacent river. A woman and two dogs managed to get out of the vehicle that ended up underwater and a man has been taken out of the vehicle, seriously injured.

Police and rescue services are currently working at the scene, the man has been taken away by ambulance to hospital.

The road is closed to traffic.
