Police were alerted to a residence in Ladugårdsängen due to screams.

The public reacted to screams and loud thuds from the residence – and alerted the police when they feared that someone was in a life-threatening situation.

Police patrols went out to the address and quickly established that the whole thing was about a boy who was playing video games with his friends and had become loud. The matter could be concluded without further action.

This is a good example of a case that had a calm and positive outcome. At the same time, we want to emphasize how important it is to continue to alert when hearing screams, powerful thuds or other sounds that may indicate that someone is in danger. As a private individual, you can never know what is going on behind a closed door – and it's always better to call one time too many than one time too few. Reacting to concern in your surroundings can make a big difference. Sometimes it turns out to be harmless, sometimes it can be life-saving.
