What it handles: student finance (grant and loan) for studies in Sweden and abroad, study allowance for upper secondary pupils, repayment of student loans, and the question of whether a foreign citizen has the right to Swedish student finance.

How to reach it: apply and follow payments on My Pages or in CSN's app. There are separate phone lines for student finance, repayments and the right to student finance as a foreign citizen.

Where people get stuck: foreign citizens must first be assessed for the right to Swedish student finance, which makes the case take longer. Payments come in advance, usually on the 25th, and stop until CSN has your study declaration and the school has registered you.
