System and Software Engineer C++

Hykmann Global Business Solutions AB is looking for a dedicated system and software engineer for an exciting consultancy assignment in the defence and aerospace industry in Linköping.
We are looking for someone who wants to work with advanced systems engineering and sophisticated software development in a technically challenging environment where quality, robustness and security are at the centre. 🔧 About the assignment
You will join a technically skilled team where systems architecture, requirements analysis, software development and verification work together. The role is suited to someone who wants to combine practical programming in C++ with an understanding of systems, technical problem-solving and the development of robust software solutions.
The duties can be tailored to your skills and ambitions, with the opportunity to focus more on systems design and architecture or on advanced software development.
💻 Your main duties
Take part in requirements analysis, systems engineering and the design of complex subsystems with demanding requirements for performance, robustness and security.
Develop and further develop software in C++ within modern agile development teams.
Contribute to sustainable software architecture, high code quality and solutions that are maintainable in the long term.
Work with systems engineers, software developers and other specialists to ensure integration and system functionality.
Work on verification and validation in advanced simulators, test rigs and realistic tactical scenarios.
Contribute to developing features for sensor fusion, data management and decision support for pilots.
Take part in technical studies, concept development and prototyping for future aircraft systems.
Contribute technical expertise, share knowledge and support the continuous improvement of development processes.
Skills & requirements
🎯 Qualifications
We are looking for someone with around 3–7 years of relevant experience in advanced systems and/or software development who enjoys solving complex technical problems.
We would like you to have:
Extensive experience in software development in C++, preferably in large and complex codebases.
Experience in systems development, systems design or systems engineering.
Experience of agile ways of working, such as Scrum.
An interest in or experience with safety-critical, near real-time or other complex systems.
The ability to turn technical requirements into robust, well-structured solutions.
An analytical and structured approach, with the ability to see both the big picture and the details.
The ability to take responsibility, drive technical issues forward and work effectively in a team.
Good communication skills in both Swedish and English.
⭐ Desirable experience
Experience with Git and the CLion development environment.
Experience integrating third-party software.
A background in the defence industry, aerospace industry, telecommunications or another technologically advanced field.
Previous experience with Gripen development.

Security clearance: Approved security clearance in accordance with applicable regulations is required before the assignment starts.
