Leading Installation Electrician at Ignease

Ignease is growing and carrying out technically advanced projects in fire protection, detection and security systems for data centres and other critical environments across Europe.
We are now looking for an experienced Leading Installation Electrician who wants to take responsibility for day-to-day production on site. You will be a key link between project management and the installation team, and will have the opportunity to influence how the work is planned, carried out and followed up.
This is a role for a skilled electrician who enjoys leading others and knows what it takes to make a large installation project work in practice.
Your role
You will be responsible for driving and coordinating the day-to-day work on site. You will work closely with project managers, site management, other contractors and installers to ensure that production maintains the right pace, quality and level of safety.
In this role, you will be present in the work, create structure for the team and make sure everyone knows what needs to be done, when it needs to be completed and what requirements apply.
Your duties will include:
Leading and allocating the daily work of the installation team.
Planning production in the short and medium term.
Ensuring that work is carried out in accordance with drawings, technical documentation and the project’s quality requirements.
Following up on progress, staffing, material requirements and any obstacles.
Preparing work plans and creating clear conditions for the installers.
Coordinating installations with project management and other trades on site.
Identifying deviations and solving practical problems before they affect the schedule.
Contributing to a safe working environment and ensuring that the project’s procedures are followed.
Documenting completed work and reporting status to project management.
Contributing ideas that improve quality, productivity and our shared ways of working.

Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone with extensive experience as an electrician who has previously worked as a leading installation electrician on medium-sized or larger installation projects.
You are confident in your professional skills and comfortable making decisions in day-to-day production. You lead with clarity, presence and a good example, and understand that strong results are achieved together with the team.
The role requires you to:
Have relevant electrical engineering training.
Have documented experience as an electrician or leading installation electrician on medium-sized or larger projects.
Be able to plan, allocate and follow up on the installation team’s work.
Be able to read and work from drawings, diagrams and technical documents.
Have a clear focus on quality, safety and progress.
Be able to communicate fluently in English in your daily work.
Be solution-oriented, organised and confident when dealing with different trades on site.

Experience of fire alarms, detection systems, security systems, data centres or other technically demanding installations is an advantage. Experience of international projects is also beneficial.
