Treatment assistant

We are looking for someone who can be a trusted adult and wants to work with children in their home.
We are currently looking for staff for fixed-term employment for a specific period (work as needed).
Recruitment will take place on an ongoing basis during the application period, according to the needs of the organisation.
About us
Creare omsorg- Allégatan comprises a residential treatment home with 5 places. The service is located in Kil, about 20 minutes from Karlstad. The organisation also includes a residential treatment home in Fagerås and an outpatient service.
The target group for the home is girls and boys aged 8-12 with their own behavioural problems. Children are placed at the service under the Social Services Act (SoL) or the Care of Young Persons Act (LVU). The children in placement have at least one-to-one staffing throughout all waking hours.
About the work
We use an environmental therapeutic approach based on behavioural science and take a low-arousal and cognitive approach. In your work as a treatment assistant, you must be able to create a safe environment for the children through a structured and meaningful everyday life. You build a stable relationship with the children and seek them out each day with curiosity to learn more about them. Based on care and implementation plans, you will plan and carry out treatment work individually with the children in placement. Among other things, we use the methods TMO - Trauma-Informed Care, CBT for children, TEJPING, MI - Motivational Interviewing and rePULSE. You work according to a schedule of interventions and document your work with the children in our record system. The duties also include all the practical tasks that arise in a home, such as cooking, cleaning, doing the laundry, ensuring the children's hygiene is taken care of, and providing guidance with everyday tasks. You will also take part in the service's development and change work, with the aim of improving quality and creating a good workplace.
Ongoing internal training sessions and work-related meetings are held monthly.
A collective agreement (kollektivavtal) is in place with Vårdföretagarna.
About you
You must have at least two years of post-secondary education in social work, such as treatment assistant, treatment educator, social pedagogue or similar education that the employer considers equivalent, or a higher qualification, in accordance with current legislation on education requirements for treatment staff at residential care homes (HVB homes).
This role suits you if you are able and willing to work as part of a team with your colleagues to create safety and structure for the children in placement. You are communicative and attentive. You are curious and take responsibility both for yourself and for the children. You strive to be a clear role model. You can set clear boundaries while also being flexible in a fast-moving environment. Given the nature of the work, you need good empathy and a solution-focused approach. You must have a genuine interest in learning more about the children and their challenges. You have plenty of patience during processes that are sometimes slow, as well as in stressful situations. We greatly value a positive approach towards the children. You are welcome to be resourceful, inspiring and full of ideas. Your role in the service allows and encourages you to take your own initiative.
We are looking for someone who can express themselves well both orally and in writing. The role requires good documentation skills. You must be able to understand and analyse social processes and problems. Your approach to work must be characterised by commitment and drive. You must be able to take responsibility and work in a structured way. You must be able to handle changes to circumstances and plans at work with ease.
The work can at times be both mentally and physically demanding, depending on the well-being of the children in placement.
· A driving licence for a manual car is required.
