The Zita cinema in Stockholm called off a boycott of Israel due to threats. According to chairman Björn Jordell, the threats were reported to the police - but he has since backed down. Jordell said, "I thought the management had reported them to the police, but I was wrong."

After criticism over how the information was handled, the cinema will now report it to the police anyway.

"We have reviewed the situation and have now made a collective decision to report it to the police," Jordell continues.

Zita joined the pro-Palestinian BDS movement (Israel boycott) last week. After threats were made against the cinema and its staff, the company decided to end the collaboration with Zita. The chairman said in a previous interview with TT that there had been threats to "blow up" Zita.
