The Russian attacks on Ukraine continued for the third night in a row, the night until Saturday. Of the 597 drones fired, 319 were shot down. The air force also managed to stop 25 out of 26 missiles.

Above all, areas in western Ukraine, which were previously considered relatively safe, were affected by the Russian attacks. Several explosions were heard in the cities of Lviv, Chernivtsi and Lutsk. In total, six people have died and around 30 have been injured in the attacks.

The Russian Ministry of Defense claims that companies belonging to Ukraine's military-industrial complex have been attacked in three Ukrainian cities.

The US envoy to Ukraine and Russia, Keith Kellogg, will arrive in Kyiv on Monday for talks. US President Donald Trump has also said that he will make an "important statement" about Russia on Monday.

The Kremlin repeated on Friday its opposition to a European peacekeeping force in Ukraine after French President Emmanuel Macron said that there is a plan "that is ready to be launched in the hours following a ceasefire".

The Kremlin also announces that Putin will not give up his goals with the war, but that they will nonetheless continue to participate in negotiations.
