A Russian drone hit the roof of the hospital, according to local Ukrainian authorities. No one was injured, but patients have had to be evacuated.
"Only a real end to Russia's attacks on civilian infrastructure would show a willingness to end the war and bring peace closer," Zelenskyj writes on social media late on Tuesday evening.
He notes that the Russian attacks continue against several Ukrainian cities, including the capital Kyiv.
A few hours before the attack, Russian President Vladimir Putin had announced that he, after a long conversation with US President Donald Trump, had agreed to initiate a 30-day pause in attacks on energy facilities.
Putin, however, did not accept Trump's proposal for a complete ceasefire in the Russian war of aggression – a proposal that Ukraine had already accepted. Putin and Trump are said to be in agreement to "immediately" initiate new talks on a ceasefire.
"Today, Putin in practice rejected the proposal for a complete ceasefire. It would be right for the world to respond by rejecting all attempts by Putin to prolong the war," Zelenskyj writes.
In the Russian region of Krasnodar kraj, a fire has broken out in a fuel depot as a result of a Ukrainian drone attack, according to local authorities on Wednesday morning. No one is reported to have been injured in the fire, which according to the authorities was caused by a downed drone.
