Selling of drugs, abuse and inadequate background checks of new staff – a residential care home for young people in Arlöv, Skåne, is criticized for serious deficiencies by the Health and Social Care Inspectorate (Ivo).
When the police have conducted searches of the premises, a larger quantity of narcotics has been found, as well as ammunition and a bulletproof vest, reports Sydsvenskan.
Youth at the home have told Ivo about drug selling and abuse within the operation. The Ivo investigation also shows that an approved manager was lacking.
Those responsible for the home have responded to the authority that young people who were not suitable to live at the residential care home were placed there, but that the situation has now improved.
