World Championship gold medalist Elvira Öberg is withdrawing from the competition Skidskyttekampen at Stockholm Stadium, which takes place on Monday evening, reports SVT.
You can't say that Elvira is sick, but she doesn't feel completely hundred percent and wants to take the safe option, says Emma Höglund, press officer for the Swedish Biathlon Association, to SVT.
Elvira Öberg achieved success at the recently concluded World Championship in Lenzerheide. The 26-year-old took three medals: a gold in mass start, a silver in pursuit, and a bronze in relay with Sweden.
She will be replaced by her national team colleague Johanna Skottheim in Skidskyttekampen.
