Women's stock portfolios rose by an average of 5.3 percent, according to Euroclear Sweden. Men's stock portfolios increased by only 1.1 percent.
Financial stocks, including banks and investment companies, attracted the most interest among Swedish stocks during the quarter, with Handelsbanken the period's biggest gainer, adding 33,000 shareholders.
As usual, the Wallenbergs' investment company Investor tops the list with over 700,000 shareholders, followed by AB Volvo.
Among men's favorite stocks is Flat Capital, a major owner of Klarna. Women favor clothing and appliance companies, such as H&M and Electrolux Professional.
A continuing trend is that Swedes hold fewer types of shares in their portfolios, on average 4.8 companies, down from 5.0 a year ago.
