It was during June last year that the police raided a Thai massage parlor in Malmö following suspicions of sex trafficking. On site, the police found sperm from several different men.

The police suspect that eight different women were recruited to work at the parlor. There, they were allegedly forced to sell sexual services without being allowed to keep the money. The women's hourly wage was allegedly between 4.5 kronor and nearly 19 kronor.

From September 2023 to June 2024, sexual services are suspected to have been sold on at least 363 occasions.

The manager of the parlor is suspected of having threatened the women that they would lose their jobs if they did not offer sexual services for payment.

The employees are described in the indictment as poor, immigrant, and unaware of the rules of the Swedish labor market.

So far, five men have been charged with buying sex in connection with the investigation, but up to forty are suspected.

The woman denies the crime.
