Second place went to the Italian Nick Ponzio, 20.58 meters, followed by Jesper Arbinge, Spårvägens FK, who threw 19.97 meters.
Petersson is approaching the Swedish record of 21.33 meters.
It was not very good technically today, I must say. It feels like it's small things that will give results, and it feels very close to being released. It's a bit frustrating, but it's on the way and I'm very happy about that, says Petersson.
But for a while, it looked like the throw would not be approved. The official first showed a red flag.
An official saw that the heel came up on the board. I did not feel it, and none of the other officials saw it, so they chose to approve it when they checked afterwards.
If it's clear, I can not answer, but it's always exciting when there are protests, says Petersson.
In September, the World Championship will be held in Japan.
It's very exciting. I only have very fun competitions left, and then the World Championship is the top of the heap, if you say so. I look forward to it, it will be very fun, says Petersson.
Will a new Swedish record be set then?
I hope so before, but I would not refuse to set the record during the World Championship.
