The White House promises an effort to dissolve what is described as a "comprehensive domestic terrorist movement", after the murder of right-wing debater Charlie Kirk.

The statement comes from the White House's deputy chief of staff, Stephen Miller, when he guested on Kirk's podcast which on Monday was hosted by Vice President JD Vance.

Miller said that the government will "channel all anger" towards a growing left-wing extremist movement that they believe has organized a campaign that led to the murder.

We will use all the resources we have within the Department of Justice, the Department of Security and the entire government to identify, disrupt, dissolve and destroy these networks and make America safe again for the American people, said Miller.

The statement has raised concern among some Trump critics who fear that the effort Miller is talking about can be used to suppress dissenting voices.

Right-wing debater Charlie Kirk was shot dead last week when he spoke to a crowd at Utah Valley University in the USA. After an intense hunt for a perpetrator, a 22-year-old man could be arrested.
