Former French biathlon star Martin Fourcade will win an Olympic gold medal on Sunday, 16 years too late. A small consolation is that it will be in front of almost 20,000 spectators in Antholz.

Russian Yevgeny Ustyugov's doping conviction leads to new medalists from the 2010 Vancouver and 2014 Sochi Olympics.

Martin Fourcade is awarded gold in the mass start, Slovak Pavol Hurajt silver and Austria's Christoph Sumann bronze.

The German relay team is awarded Olympic gold from Sochi, Austria silver and Norway bronze.

"Nothing can replace the moments on the podium that they missed. But getting the medals in front of almost 20,000 supporters gives them well-deserved moments on the world stage," says biathlon coach Olle Dahlin in a press release.

Sweden receives bronze from the Vancouver relay. The medals will be awarded during the biathlon competition at Stockholm Stadium on March 2.
