In the talks, Szijjártó has provided Russia's Sergei Lavrov with "direct reports on what has been discussed," a source told the newspaper. These talks have meant that Moscow has in practice "been at the table" at every EU meeting in recent years, according to the informant.
Péter Szijjártó has made 16 official visits to Moscow since Russia began its invasion of Ukraine. He has not commented on the information from The Washington Post.
