The Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority is adding 38 new names to its warning list. The actors lack a license to offer financial services in Sweden and in several cases offer fake loans and investments.

The most common scheme among the 38 actors who have now been placed on the warning list is that they offer fake loans in exchange for a fee paid in advance.

"Consumers need to be especially vigilant when offers require payment in advance or promise quick profits. You should always check companies in FI's business register before giving away money or personal information," says Moa Langemark, consumer protection economist at FI, in a press release.
