In Strängnäs, 80-year-old Bengt Löfgren votes. Who would get his vote was not a given, he says. The extremes are out of the question.
But otherwise I don't have a crystal clear picture of where I should stand in the middle, I don't.
Despite this, he decided a few weeks ago that the shrill tone of the debates does not appeal to him.
I listened to Håkan Juholt on TV yesterday. He didn’t like the tone that prevailed in the debates. And neither do I. The ones I appreciate most are those who talk about their own proposals and don't just argue about what others have done badly.
“Very important”
In Hjällbo in northeast Gothenburg, early voting has increased by over 200 percent compared with the last election, as SVT previously reported.
One of those who voted the other day is Ayan.
"There is a big difference. Many people feel directly discriminated against by certain parties. This election has a special feeling," she says.
According to Ayan, who accompanied her husband to the polling station at Bergsgårdsskolan in Hjällbo today, issues such as the veil ban and teenage expulsions have affected many.
There has been an extreme feeling that we have to vote. It is very important.
Not nervous – but a fateful moment
In Landskrona, the Liberals have been in power for almost two decades. Here, the party received 38 percent of the vote in the 2022 municipal election, but only six percent in the parliamentary election. The chairman of the municipal board, Torkild Strandberg (L), describes this year's election as a fateful one - will the party pass the parliamentary threshold of four percent?
"I'm not nervous, but it's a fateful moment. I have a pretty good feeling. This will go well for us," says Strandberg outside the Västervångsskolan polling station in Landskrona.
A voter in Stockholm, Erik Villaume, brings his daughter Liv to the polling station. It hasn't been entirely obvious for him to decide who to vote for.
The discussion boils down to obvious things and pie-in-the-sky ideas; it is difficult to know what the parties really think and how they follow through on what they think.
