The newspapers refer to internal documents that were leaked to industry media.

The hiring freeze does not apply to white-collar workers at factories or planned recruitment for roles that support production facilities, central distribution, marketing and product supply logistics.
"Recruitment for roles supporting our production facilities, Central Distribution Center, and marketing and product supply logistics is continuing according to plan," Kristin Boldemann tells GP.
