Venezuela accuses the USA on Friday of waging an "undeclared war" in the Caribbean, and urges the UN to launch an investigation into the American attacks.

Washington has sent warships to international waters off the coast of Venezuela, supported by F-35 planes stationed in Puerto Rico. It is the largest American naval deployment in the Caribbean in decades. The US has killed over a dozen alleged drug smugglers on boats in recent weeks. Something that has raised concerns that the US is planning to attack Venezuelan territory.

It is an undeclared war, and one can already see how people, regardless of whether they are drug smugglers or not, have been executed in the Caribbean Sea. Executed without the right to defense, said Venezuela's Defense Minister Vladimir Padrino López during a military exercise in response to the American "military threat".

Venezuela's Foreign Minister Yvan Gil urges the UN Security Council on Telegram on Friday "to demand an immediate stop to the US military actions in the Caribbean Sea".

President Nicolás Maduro, who is wanted by the US and accused of leading a narcotics cartel network, has urged citizens in Venezuela to participate in militia training to "defend the homeland".
