The quakes, measuring 7.2 and 7.5 respectively, were the strongest to hit Venezuela in over a century. The death toll has been steadily rising in recent weeks, with an estimated 16,740 people currently injured.
Thousands of people have previously been reported missing after the disaster, but authorities in the country did not update that figure on Tuesday.
The earthquakes damaged Simón Bolívar International Airport outside the capital, Caracas, among other things. On Wednesday night, interim President Delcy Rodríguez said commercial air traffic would be opened "as soon as possible" using an alternative runway.
The airport has been open to some extent for humanitarian air transport.
