Finance Minister Elisabeth Svantesson (M) has repeatedly expressed dissatisfaction with the 25 percent VAT, which was scheduled to be introduced on October 1 this year after the Swedish Tax Agency issued a new interpretation of EU law.
The government has now appointed an inquiry into VAT on parking spaces. It will review the possibilities of changing the legislation or otherwise "neutralizing the economic consequences for households" by December 22, writes the Swedish Tax Agency.
