The arena has been approved for play by the Swedish Football Association, provided that the club rectifies additional deficiencies within a couple of weeks.

IFK Värnamo has had a dispensation to play at Finnvedsvallen since the club was promoted to the top division in 2022. For example, last year the club was forced to play home games on away grounds at the start of the season due to the poor condition of the grass.

Before this season, the dispensation expired, and the club has had to renovate the arena. After the Swedish Football Association conducted a new arena inspection on Thursday, the arena was approved for top division play on Friday, provided that the remaining deficiencies are rectified by April 10, the association announces.

"We are so grateful to all of you who have helped, cheered, and in other ways been part of us now getting to play at our Finnvedsvallen this season as well. Together, we have accomplished this"; writes IFK Värnamo on the club's Instagram.
