Several so-called stumbling stones in Oslo, in memory of Norwegian Jews who were killed during the Holocaust in World War II, have been sprayed with black paint.
According to Mats Tangestuen at the Jewish Museum, it concerns stumbling stones at five different addresses, primarily in the Grünerløkka district.
It's sad that someone is attacking a memorial to people who were murdered over 80 years ago, he says, but does not want to speculate about what lies behind the vandalism.
The Jewish Museum, which is responsible for the stones, will report the incident to the police.
