Speaking to the conservative organization Turning Point USA, Vance said that a deal with Iran was not reached because Iran did not agree to several U.S. demands. He said he would now "fight" to get a deal.
"We will continue to negotiate and try to make it a reality," he said.
Last week, delegations from the United States and Iran were in Pakistan to participate in peace talks in Islamabad. However, JD Vance left the negotiations after less than a day, and no agreement was reached.
The vice president did not specify when or how any new talks would take place. However, U.S. President Donald Trump has recently hinted that a second round of negotiations in Pakistan could be underway in the near future.
On Tuesday, Trump told a New York Post journalist that she should stay in Islamabad for two more days.
