There is no evidence that Hamas has engaged in systematic theft of American supplies and food to Gaza, according to a new analysis from the US aid agency USAID, reports Reuters.
The result of the analysis challenges claims by the US and Israel that Hamas has improperly profited from aid to Gaza at the expense of the local population.
The fact that the distribution of supplies has not reached the civilian population in Gaza has been used as an argument by Israel and the US to let the heavily criticized Gaza Humanitarian Foundation handle food distribution in the strip.
