Statements, threats, and calls came from the USA, Iran, and Israel ahead of the upcoming talks on the Iranian nuclear energy program to be held in Oman over the weekend.
The USA and Israel threatened with military attacks if the two countries are not satisfied with the outcome of the talks.
Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has previously threatened with military attacks – albeit indirectly.
Trump referred to Israel when he commented on the development.
If military is required, we will have military. Israel will, of course, be very involved, be the leader of the whole thing, said Trump when asked if military action against Iran is on the table.
Earlier on Wednesday, the US Department of Finance had announced that new sanctions would be imposed on both companies and private individuals with connections to the nuclear energy programs in Iran.
In turn, Iran offered American companies to operate in the country. Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian said that "American investors" are welcome. The President referred to Iran's highest leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, in a televised speech.
Pezeshkian simultaneously sent a warning to the USA:
We are against (the USA's) bad politics, such as conspiracies and attempts at regime change (in Iran).
