In order for Trelleborg to still have a chance to directly qualify for the Swedish Women's Championship, an away victory against Umeå IK was required.
But TFF failed to do that. Instead, the team conceded the 2–3 goal in the 90th minute of the match – to the great joy of Uppsala.
The goal means that the second-placed team Uppsala takes second place and thus secures a place in the women's Swedish Championship next season.
Uppsala faces Örebro SK on Saturday afternoon in a match that will now be fairly insignificant.
Eskilstuna United has already secured the series victory and the second direct place.
