With only days left until the election, opinion polls are pouring in. When the polls are weighed together, there are some clear trends.
Perhaps the most crucial thing is that the gap between the government alternatives is narrowing, says Tommy Möller, professor of political science at Stockholm University.
According to Möller, the Tidö bloc thus has a chance to turn things around.
It is still the case that the opposition is leading, but of course it is not impossible, he says.
“It was absolutely crucial”
Henrik Ekengren Oscarsson, a political scientist at the University of Gothenburg, points to a group of voters who will now be particularly contested.
This concerns the ten percent who are currently unable to say what they will vote for, and who are therefore not captured in the opinion polls.
"Last time they were absolutely decisive. Ulf Kristersson had a very late victory, which is unusual in Swedish election campaigns," he says.
Even before this election, that group is leaning more to the right. But there is an uncertainty factor, and that is that they simultaneously dislike the Sweden Democrats more than they dislike the Left Party, according to Ekengren Oscarsson.
Both stink for this group, but there are degrees in hell.

Another clear trend when the polls are weighed together is the rise of the Liberals.

But the polls are scattered and, according to Ekengren Oscarsson, it is difficult to say whether the party is above or below the threshold.
But if you take all the measurements, and try to see the signal through all the noise, it is that they are on the rise.
It is also clear that the Social Democrats are retreating. According to Ekengren Oscarsson, they are losing mainly within their own bloc.
Party loyalty is no greater than that when elections approach and small parties get a little more attention, people want to start steering this monolith in different directions, he says.
