Norrland's university hospital in Umeå has gone up in reinforcement mode, due to lack of space.

There is a very strained hospital bed situation, the region writes in a press release. The purpose of the reinforcement situation is to be able to release hospital beds, strengthen staffing and be able to postpone scheduled activities if needed.

"We are closely following the development and taking necessary measures. The public is urged to continue seeking care when needed", says Jonas Wixner, healthcare leader and medically responsible in special healthcare leadership in the press release.
