"The Prime Minister has been invited to participate in a questioning during the opening of the conference on Thursday evening. The conversation will focus on Sweden's and the EU's competitiveness as well as Sweden's support for Ukraine", writes Kristersson's deputy press secretary Hanna Strömberg to TT.
The meeting has been preceded by great secrecy. The prestigious hotel is fully booked for several days and the police have been informed.
According to the participant list that TT has taken part of, several well-known people are on the meeting. In addition to Ulf Kristersson, Magdalena Andersson (S) and Ebba Busch (KD) are also participating.
Among business leaders, Spotify's CEO and founder Daniel Ek, Ericsson's CEO Börje Ekholm and Volvo's CEO Martin Lundstedt can be seen. Tech billionaire Peter Thiel and Michael O'Leary – Ryanair's CEO – are also on the list, as well as Microsoft's CEO Satya Nadella. From the Wallenberg sphere, both Jacob and Marcus Wallenberg are coming.
Even more international guests are participating, including the former US Secretary of the Treasury Lawrence Summers, Finland's former President Alexander Stubb, NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte and the former NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg. Also participating is Finland's former Prime Minister Sanna Marin, as well as Greece's Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis. Also on the list is the author and journalist Anne Applebaum and the former President of the European Commission José Manuel Barroso. There will also be royal visits, as the King of the Netherlands, Willem-Alexander, will participate.
Several topics will be discussed at the meeting, including Ukraine, the American economy, AI, migration, Europe and the Middle East.
