The drone hit a civilian business premises early Wednesday morning, according to Ukrainian governor Ihor Tereshov. The victims are reported to be a man and a woman, and a number of other people have been injured.
Kharkiv, a city that had hundreds of thousands of inhabitants before the war, is located close to the border with Russia and has been heavily shelled during the war.
The Russian authorities in the occupied part of Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia region say that two people were killed when a Ukrainian drone hit a car in a town on the front line.
Another 20 people were injured in a Russian drone attack on a minibus in the southeastern city of Kherson, according to Ukrainian prosecutors.
