In the event of a ceasefire, Ukraine will lend its best drone expertise, President Zelenskyy promises.
"The leaders in the Middle East have good relations with the Russians. They can ask the Russians to enter into a month-long ceasefire with Ukraine," Zelenskyy told Bloomberg.
Since Saturday, Iran has sent hundreds of Shahed drones against neighboring countries such as Bahrain, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates. When they attack in swarms, they can overwhelm advanced air defenses.
In Ukraine, Shahed drones have been used by Russia in attacks since the fall of 2022. They are now also produced in Russia.
The next peace talks on Ukraine will probably be held later this week, Zelenskyy told Corriere della Sera. However, it is unclear where. Zelenskyy suggested Switzerland, Austria, the Vatican or Turkey.
