In the beginning of September, around 20 employees at the home care service in Uddevalla were laid off. Now the municipality has chosen to report to the police.

A report concerning unlawful threats, unauthorized photography and narcotics offenses was filed on Tuesday. The suspicions of crime emerged in connection with a Lex Sarah report that the municipality made on September 5.

"All the points of complaint that are now included in the police report are related to the night service's activities and premises," the municipality writes on its website.

I feel despair. When there are suspicions like these, we must report them to the police. Now we leave it to the police to investigate and help us with this, because we cannot ourselves sort out what applies and what does not, says Björn Segelod, security manager in Uddevalla, to Dagens Nyheter.

According to the newspaper, it is, among other things, about the fact that staff felt threatened by other colleagues within the night home care service, and therefore did not dare to express themselves about deficiencies. In addition, there are suspicions that care recipients have been filmed, which violates secrecy legislation.

The entire regular work team for the home care night staffing in the municipality was shut down in connection with the discovery of the deficiencies. In addition to the suspicions of crime, it is also about inadequate or absent visits and incorrect handling of alarms.
