Several snus varieties from the brands Granit and Lundgrens from British American Tobacco are being recalled, according to a press release from the National Food Agency. The reason is that they contain benzo[a]pyrene in levels that have been measured to exceed the permitted limit value.
Benzo[a]pyrene is a hydrocarbon that can be carcinogenic.
Previously, the recall has applied to Granit Original White Portion Large manufactured between May 30 and November 10 this year.
The extended recall applies to eleven varieties manufactured from October 20.
The recall applies to Granit Original Loose manufactured up to December 1, Granit Original Portion manufactured up to November 10, Lundgrens Skåne manufactured up to November 17, Lundgrens Skåne Slim manufactured up to October 27, Lundgrens Skärgården manufactured up to November 17, Lundgrens Västkusten manufactured up to October 27, Lundgrens Österlen manufactured up to November 17, Lundgrens Aftonglöd manufactured up to November 3, Lundgrens Fjällen manufactured up to November 17, Lundgrens Lägereld manufactured up to November 17, and Lundgrens Norrland manufactured up to November 10.
