Turkey is reported to cut all economic ties with Israel and close its airspace to Israeli planes, with reference to the Gaza war.

Furthermore, Ankara will not allow Turkish ships to dock in Israeli ports, announces Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.

Israel has carried out a genocide in the Gaza Strip over the past two years, right in front of the world, says Fidan, according to the Israeli newspaper Haaretz.

No country has yet taken more meaningful measures, including sanctions, against Israel.

The Gaza war, triggered by the terrorist-stamped Hamas attack on Israel, has been going on since October 2023. More than 62,000 Palestinians in the Gaza Strip have been killed since the start of the war, according to health authorities in Hamas-controlled Gaza, which does not distinguish between civilians and combatants.

Israel's intense bombing has led to 90 percent of the population being driven into flight and a large number of hospitals and schools being completely or partially destroyed. The Israeli blockade in the spring resulted in famine and starvation in Gaza, which has aroused outrage in the outside world. International law experts believe that the actions may constitute war crimes.
