One civilian was killed and at least five injured in Russian attacks on Odesa on Friday night, according to Governor Oleh Kiper.

“Apartments, facades and glass windows in two multi-storey buildings were damaged,” he wrote on Telegram.

In Dnipro, further east, two police officers were killed in overnight Russian strikes, according to local officials. In the capital, Kyiv, several people were injured in a drone strike that hit a high-rise building, the AP reports.

Ukraine has launched counterattacks in several places in Russia. Early Friday, local authorities in Sochi reported that an oil depot was on fire after a Ukrainian drone attack.

Two men have also been killed in a Ukrainian drone attack on a residential building in Bryansk, Russia, according to acting regional governor Yegor Kovalchuk.

“This is a great tragedy,” he wrote on Telegram.
