The two ships, Sea Star III and Sevda, were fired on by American forces on Friday as they approached an Iranian port in the Gulf of Oman, CENTCOM wrote on X.
A fighter jet from the aircraft carrier USS George H.W. Bush stopped the ships by firing at their smokestacks.
In addition, a third oil tanker, Hasna, was stopped on Wednesday in the same area.
"US forces in the Middle East remain committed to fully enforcing the blockade of vessels entering or leaving Iran," said CENTCOM commander Admiral Brad Cooper in a statement.
Since the US blockade began, several ships have been stopped and over 50 have been diverted, according to the US military.
Earlier on Friday, the United Arab Emirates said the country's air defenses had responded to missiles and drones from Iran.
This comes after the US and Iran have targeted each other around the Strait of Hormuz over the past 24 hours. The US claims that its attacks are a response to an Iranian attack, while Iran claims that the US violated the ceasefire.
"The ceasefire is ongoing," US President Donald Trump tells ABC News.
Previously, Trump threatened to carry out new attacks on Iran if it does not sign an agreement "quickly!" according to a post on Truth Social.
