Iran has taken too long in negotiations for a peace agreement, wrote U.S. President Donald Trump on the Truth Social platform.
"Now they have to pay the price for it," he continued, without specifying what that means.
As recently as Tuesday, Trump said the parties were in the "final stages" of negotiations to reach a peace agreement.
