Never before has an American president been invited for a second state visit to the British Isles, a fact that Trump seized upon when he addressed the king and the others present at the official ceremony inside Windsor Castle.
The President called the second invitation a "unique privilege" and described it as "one of the most honorable moments of my life" and continued to praise the relationship between the two countries.
Both are beautiful in their own right, but are meant to be played together. The bond and identity between America and the United Kingdom is invaluable and eternal. It is irreplaceable and can never be broken, he said according to The Guardian.
King Charles, on his part, praised Trump's "personal commitment to finding solutions to some of the world's most insoluble conflicts" and said that Wednesday evening's banquet meant a "renewal of the British-American relations".
Among the other participants at the banquet was a long list of dignitaries, including Nvidia's CEO and co-founder Jensen Huang, media mogul Rupert Murdoch and Open AI's Sam Altman.
In addition to a three-course dinner, the guests were also served several exclusive drinks, such as the wine Vintage Port from the 1946 vintage, which is interpreted as a nod to Trump in that he became the 45th president when he won the election for the first time.
For the president himself, however, there will not be any clinking of glasses with the exclusive vintage since he does not drink alcohol.
